Hello there!
Quick guide to Dragon Lord Refuge cause lots ask to join my groups but I usually have no room, so try the instance yourself
-----------------------------------------------
DLR/TH Overview:
- 12-player instance situated at the heart of Tiamaranta's Eye
- Rewards include extendable weapons, fancy wings, decor and crucially, mithrils QQ (+ around 50 Kahruns per run)
- Comprises 3 phases: Calindi, incarnations, and Tiamat
Essential Requirements:
- A templar and one support (chanter ideally) with magic resist gear (around 2.3k with food)
- An adept leader to call shots during Tiamat, with everyone on voice chat
- A minimum of one ranger DPS, ideally 2
- Overall high DPS
- 2 clerics and 2 chanters for support.
- Elemental scrolls for fire and earth
----------------------------------------------
Calindi Strategy:
The templar pulls the boss to either side. When Hallucinatory Victory is cast, everyone stops DPS since there's a reflect up (leader calls it). Ranged DPS quickly eliminate the surkana. Once the reflect is down, resume DPS. Boss isn't hard but hits tanks fiercely.
Incarnations:
Simple. Group 1 takes the left 2 doors, group 2 the right. Buff up Kasinel (or Marchutan). Defeat the incarnations and regroup by Tiamat soon after.
----------------------------------------------
Tiamat Tactics:
Things get tricky here, especially if it's unfamiliar territory.
- Phase one is straightforward, DPS down to 51%. Ranged DPS stay at range with supports avoiding Atrocity cast (position at video start). Save DP and major cooldowns.
- Once boss reaches 51%, pause DPS. Important, as spikes appear initiating a 1:15 min timer affecting outcomes based on boss health.
- Everyone stays with ranged DPS for spikes: It's time to apply elemental scrolls and gear swap for templar/chanter. Spikes appear post-atrocity cast on left.
- Once spikes activate, leader starts the timer. Chanter uses WoW. Begin DPS after boss recasts atrocity.
Outcome varies by group: Superior DPS halts at 26% before adds (post next spike, at 1:15). Otherwise, continue DPS to end. Missing the 26% stop means facing a debilitating stun in 30s.
Add waves: 1:15, 2:00, 2:45. Massive stunning attack at 2:55. Leader must announce waves 10s prior.
- 10s pre-first wave (1:05). Templar takes right, chanter left
- First waves (1:15). Second chanter joins distant group using speed cast, then returns. Glad utilizes DP. Templar collects right-side adds and supports chanter's left aggro.
- 10s pre-second wave (1:50). Chanter and templar return to respective spots (templar has all four adds).
- Second wave (2:00). Templar deploys Iron Skin and AoE taunt, consolidates adds with chanter's help. Chanter activates Elemental Screen.
- (10s pre-third wave (2:35). Templar and chanter return, clerics use 4k DP)
- (3rd wave, prepare for adds... brace for big stun, announce at 2:45, and swiftly defeat boss as post-stun becomes much more challenging).
Visual aid might help, so here's a video
