Aion Riftshade

Hey there, friends!

Firstly, I want to introduce you all to a handy site where you can soon check out upcoming hero trials tasks and be better prepared for future days.

I’m seeking some feedback to make a few improvements (still in the designing phase).

Features that are set to roll out soon:

- Filterable calendar by PvE, PvP, Solo, Group, Instance, Quest, and more

- Calendar: future day previews

- News: filtering forum data or something similar to quickly provide maintenance info

- View ongoing events without the hassle of navigating this cumbersome forum setup (or site) with reward details

Note: Functions aren’t live yet, and the calendar doesn't yet display missions on the right days.

And if anyone noticed the date 22.03.2019, please kindly share what was there, since I was too lazy to catch it because everything seemed like a PvP quest.

The white background is a bit harsh on my eyes—I wish for darker themes, but maybe that’s just my personal preference - I don't know.

Why "dark theme"?

I honestly got tired of staring at it repeatedly. After a while, my eyes just went, "I'm done with this brightness".

If anyone has a liking for light mode, do inform me. I might add an option to swap between dark and light themes in the future.

I like how it looks. I don't know what it will be in the final form but so far is quite nice.

How do you plan to add/show the rewards? Hover over the filters in that specific day or add more small icons (leg. stones or contract) at the bottom of the box of the day, in case it's something important like legendary stones?

Personally, what I would want from a calendar is to see at first glance when there are the instances so I don't waste them in other days from that specific week.

Option A)

Clicking on a specific quest will trigger a "popup" displaying the complete details

=> A description of what needs to be done to finish it

=> Rewards you receive upon completion

Option B)

Including icons below to signify the rewards

It's risky to say that legendary stones and items like them matter more than kinah boxes, right? Especially since in 6.5, extra kinah drops from instances are going away

In general, I lean towards Option A.

Option B might bombard with too much info at once

Hover effects might be irritating when just moving the mouse around on several days

The idea was definitely planned but hasn’t been put in action yet.

I almost forgot about this calendar. Something like that is easy to spot.

Update as of 31/03/2019:

- database enhancements

- tasks now appear on specified days

- switch between weeks easily (limitation is 2 years in advance, due to safety reasons)

=> double arrow = jump 2 weeks

=> single arrow = move to next/previous week

- task clicking now reveals detailed description and rewards upon completing the quest

- various minor bugs patched (mostly visual)...

Anticipated update:

- introducing a filter to customize task visibility (e.g., exclusively PvP tasks)

- planned to save filters in cookies (fingers crossed, at least)

- including more quests (aiming for quick addition if detailed correctly and depending on hero trials functionality)

Always open to feedback to make improvements when feasible.

Tip:

- week isn't tied to current date (designed to show functions even if quests are missing some days, my apologies)

there is not refresh info about HT quests/rewards for some days(today for example, 16.05.2019).

And in top no refresh info about maintenance news etc(i hope you parse it from official forum, not hand job copypast xD).

As soon as I have full calendar rotation I will implement those quests.

But since there are some issues and changes will be made on rewards (I guess) there is no point to implement it yet.
