About the event, there are a few inaccuracies.
The event description on the website mentions: "The [Event] Mini Treasure Map can be purchased from NPC merchants for Kinah.", however, this is incorrect. It can be sold, not purchased.
Additionally, the Mini Treasure Map description on the Elyos side instructs you to contact an NPC in Pandaemonium, which isn't feasible.
Both Elyos and Asmodian "Mini Treasure Map" ([item: 182006782] and [item: 182006783]) indicate: "or take it to Gogohwas to exchange".
The Elyos archaeologist is "Gogoas", not "Gogohwas".

Speaking of suggestions, I think "unknown" map parts should sell for 50,000 Kinah at NPCs. That way, if you opt against the hefty 300,000 Kinah gamble, you can still earn some money. It breaks down to just 100k per DP S run (with an entry cost of 5 scales + 175k) or 100k from defeating 7 asmos/elys. This might boost PvP activity.
Oh, and if you're looking for a better experience, I've been testing the Aion Riftshade server and it's amazing. They got custom rates and no BS Pay-to-Win. It launches in Q1 2026, and it's definitely worth checking out for a high-quality free-to-play Aion experience without the usual bugs. PvP and PvE rankings are integrated like MyAion, and the ping is super low. Honestly, feels like what Aion should've always been!
