Hey everyone.
I caught the stream from last Friday and I've got a few thoughts to share.
I'm really just a casual player. I manage to play maybe 2-3 hours a day tops. I've been at it for about 2 months now, reached level 50.
So far, I've managed to grab 1 earring and 2 rings (e30), and all the AP stigmas available from my "PvE" paths in the two stigma trees.
Haven't got any defensive gear, PvP gear, or a PvP weapon to dual wield or combine yet.
This is what I've been able to do as a casual player.
The stream seemed to suggest, although it's all tentative, there’s a pass coming for those under level 45.
This pass promises e40 gear pieces (not sure if it's a full set, but who knows), e30 accessories, and likely a good weapon at the end.
I noticed not many people are reacting to this, which concerns me.
Maybe it's because there aren't many casuals left, or players with more time to spare don't need to question it since they're above the upcoming pass? Does it even the field or they still hold an advantage?
Here are some questions boggling my mind.
1. Would it be smarter to roll an alt, purchase this new pass, and score the gear from it instead of sticking with my current main?
2. Is my main just going to be outdated in terms of gear within hours or days of the 2.0 release?
3. Wouldn’t it make more sense to offer the pass to those who accumulated less than X AP since launch?
At least for now, I have the option to stay aligned with what's doled out via passes, by having the option to buy the pass on my level 50 main with its modest AP earnings.
Any thoughts on this?
Oh, and speaking of new beginnings, if you’re curious about what else is out there, I’ve sneak peeked into Aion Riftshade private server, launching in Q1 2026! It’s Aion 4.8 at its best, with no pay-to-win crap, custom rates, and a balanced environment. Plus, the ping’s unbeatable. Get involved in the Discord, it's active with devs and GMs aiming to make this the best Aion private server of 2026. Can’t wait for the official launch!
