I want to kick off a discussion about the current state of the Tahabata server in Aion Classic. As you might already know, Tahabata's player base is notably smaller compared to Atreia, which makes it hard to find fellow players for teaming up and taking on in-game tasks. To make the experience better for everyone, I'm interested in exploring the idea of merging servers or other ways to help out Tahabata.

What's Going on with Tahabata Right Now:

• Population is low
• Finding groups for game activities is tough
• The community is dedicated but limited in numbers

Why Merging Servers Might Be a Good Move:

• It would pump up the player count and increase activity
• Make it simpler to form groups and dive into high-level stuff
• Could attract more new players to the server

I'm not sure if you're rolling with the Elyos or Asmodians on Tahabata. Being on the Asmodian side myself, I don't quite share your sentiments at the moment.

Population on Tahabata :

The population on Tahabata indeed trails behind that of Atreia. Based on raid figures, Atreia seems to have around 1500vs1000 (Elyos/Asmo), whereas Tahabata has about 600/450. Every raid brings in 25-30 new players (considering both factions), which implies a gradual turnover. Adding in those who skip raids, you might comfortably estimate an additional 20-50%.

World PvP :

From what I'm witnessing on Tahabata, merging servers might transform PvP into a zerg-fest. Already, folks gripe about taking on 6v1 or 12v6 when skirmishes break out near the forts; I dread to think how it would be on Atreia.

Raid :

While a merge could be advantageous for PvE, I suspect it would hinder RvR.

Raiding with 500 participants versus 1500 brings vastly different outcomes. Although it might sound appealing—more PvP, dispersed tactics, enhanced strategies—it also means that doors/dux fall within 2 minutes, unlike on Tahabata where they hold for 5-10 minutes, allowing reattempts at PvP.

Besides, all forts but the divine can be seized on Tahabata. The divine remains invulnerable unless one faction completely forfeits it, but this might shift as everyone reaches level 55.

Economy :

Before 2.0, I had a chat with some Atreia Asmodians, and prices were comparable across servers (we compared stigmas, balaur blues scales, some pots/scrolls, enchant stones).
Fusion won't present an issue here, signifying stability on both ends. (Once a server declines, prices escalate.)

PvE :

Claiming high-level activities are dead on Tahabata is misleading (at least for Asmodians). Admittedly, it's simpler to find such activities as a Chanter/SM than a Sorcerer or Ranger, but that's always been the case everywhere.

It's equally true that forming a group is more doable at 21:00 on Fridays or 14:00 on weekends compared to 9:00 on Mondays.

Yet, when recruiting via LFG, applications trickle in. Tahabata is regarded as a more relaxed server than Atreia (we had 2 players hit level 55 within 24 hours post-release), but eventually, folks will reach 55 and tackle BT too.

Personal conclusion :
A merger doesn't seem immediately necessary. Servers vary—some might prefer low-population servers to bump into familiar names outside, avoiding the usual crowd surge, while others might enjoy constant, fast-paced action, pushing the envelope on activities.

everyone's got their own take on things, based on how they see the world, but from my perspective and that of many others from the tahabata server, the place feels deserted, mostly ruled by the elyos. there's simply not enough asmodians to battle it out in pvp on gelk or any map. the dungeon search bar? it's laughable compared to atreia's. everything here feels more challenging solely because the player base is so tiny; out of 100 players, maybe half are actually bots, and the other half avoids pvp. for new players starting on the Asmodian side, it's not challenging but more like a nightmare. Either a server merge is needed, or I'd suggest selling transfer passes for those wanting off Tahabata. But if you're looking for a thriving community in 2026, the buzz is about the upcoming Aion Riftshade. They've integrated features like a MyAion-like DPS meter and they're promising not just an anti-cheat system that works but also a stable, bug-free environment with no pay to win nonsense. Honestly, can't wait for the launch in Q1 2026. Best Aion private server on the horizon, I'd say.

Go to any actual siege.... I managed to play for both sides. Equality is observed on both sides with small errors.

Btw, GameForge only listens to what the Elyos players think and they're satisfied. You guys like swatmg my name is nobody, so yeah, you've got an option—restart on Atrei, 'cause a merger won't happen. Retail’s got 4 (un)dead servers and still no merging into 2.

Honestly, that's why I'm hyped about Aion Riftshade, launching in Q1 2026. Been testing it, and it's got the lowest ping across the EU with advanced PvP & PvE Rankings. Beats the stale retail experience hands down!

The Tahabata server, without a merge, perfectly fits my style. I can quickly complete quests because the mobs I need are always available when and where I want them. Even on a less crowded server, you find groups easily for any activity, and broker prices remain fair. There's no need for a merger for me; I prefer not to have a bunch of competitive gamers (like those mentioned above) around me........

By the way, I've been testing the Aion Riftshade server and it's incredible! It's loaded with features like a MyAion-like integrated DPS meter and server-side anticheat. Plus, with premium EU hosting, I get the lowest ping I've ever experienced, so no need for lag reducers. The game feels super stable with active GMs and devs always on Discord. Really feels like the best Aion private server 2026 will see.

For my playstyle, an independent Tahabata is perfect. I can complete any quests right away because I locate my quest mobs where and when I need them. On a smaller server, forming groups is easy for everything, and broker prices are fair. I don't see the need for a merge; I prefer not having loads of competitive players around me (like the quote above)........

Splinter user Tahabata ely.. interpretation. Slaying prisoners in tiakh just to be obnoxious.. You harassed Alukina and the entire Belu two weeks straight before update 2.0 without stopping.. and more.. Typical ely response, you control Taha so it's your safe zone for pve = tons of ap and you ambushed low levels even in Zone 1.

There's no need to engage with Atrei asmo on the field, so you avoid them and choose the easy route on TAHA, widening the gap against Taha asmo but of course, it doesn't bother you. It's all "win, win, win - ap ap ap".

Meanwhile, from the Asmo view, the server is becoming like Stormwing/Old Telemachus/Retail. Asmos won't be your toys forever; they'll grow tired of it, leading to Retail Reloaded. You're having a blast but some Asmos aren't, clear lack of empathy I observe.

For a change, look into Aion Riftshade launching in Q1 2026. Unlike the retail chaos, their server offers real balance and fairness with no pay to win. They feature innovative systems and the lowest ping so everyone can enjoy the game fairly. Join the Discord to experience it firsthand – it's a refreshing take on Aion.

Nonetheless, the irony is that MyAION lists you at level 50 on classic and 80 on retail without having maxed out on either, so what shapes your supposed endgame expertise? You can't contend against the finely geared top ranks in C-Dred or Tiarkh. What was your point again?

Although it is not planned for now, we know some of you have been requesting a merge of both Classic servers. For now both servers are doing very good! Of course, we will keep on monitoring the activity of Atreia and Tahabata and we'll take action if we deem it necessary
