Seeing one line in the patch notes, does this still mean that lvl 50+ drops are stuck at that absurd low price for selling to NPCs?
The daily Kinah cap for characters level 51 and above has been raised to
2,000,000 Kinah.
I thought the goal here was to curb bots, but since it really impacts regular players and there's a ton of bots out there (soon to be more), shouldn't this silly cap just be scrapped or taken back to how it was initially?
It's comical when you visit the mist armor vendor in Eltnen, and you spot low-level blue gear available for a 14-day loan, priced beyond what we can hold, let alone the entire set (yes, campaign gives Rank armor, this was merely illustrative). Either revamp all pricing (especially skillbooks
) or leave it unaltered.
You're chatting about rental gear that's obsolete and not of any value since gold gear's at the broker or ranking gear is available while you level. So, bad comparison (devs neglected to remove that gear).
The boost from 1.2kk to 2kk is alright. Keep in mind it refers strictly to goods sold to NPCs (like basic white/green items). Kinah gained from Udas boxes or broker exchanges is not bound by this cap.
To rack up 2kk kinah just from NPC sellable items means grinding for about 4 hours without pause. Most players can't dedicate that time, and it's incredibly mundane. Thus, it fortifies against bots farming around the clock, but doesn't hinder most regular gamers.
Consider this:
A decent PC can manage around 6 bots.
CURRENTLY, it's 1,200,000 kinah per bot daily
AFTER, it'll be 2,000,000 kinah per bot daily
NOW, a PC churns out 7,200,000 kinah daily
AFTER, it's 12,000,000 kinah daily
That's a 40% increase. Nearly doubling the current kinah flood.
Not sure what your proposed fix was, since you didn't share one. But if the cap goes to 5kk daily,
You wouldn't be able to purchase anything without spending actual money on kinah. Because those who do will wildly inflate prices by 100% or even 1000%.
