After smashing the Upper Abyss raid in 2.0, I’m scratching my head a bit.
We took on Krotan, Kysis, Miren Instances... Is it on purpose that the loot table is super old-school, Celes?
These instances got refreshed for the current patch and content, so why are we still getting the same old lvl 50 drops?
We snagged a Hot Balaur Heart (lvl50), hot balaur bloodstain (lvl40), Balaur Bluescale (lvl 50), dagger of the reaper (lvl 40) and a collection of cash items and stigmas between lvl 40 and 47.
It's kinda laughable farming lvl 53+ Balaur with such outdated loot tables.
And the chests at the end dish out lvl 50 blue flame resistance armor and GOLD AND SILVER MEDALS!?! Seriously?!
We should be getting Azure Gold Medals for this patch, not ancient gear medals.
The new level 55 Balaur Material droprate is already ridiculously low and the spots are limited.
Now, there's a supposed source with lvl 50+ Balaur and they can't even deliver the goods? That's pure comedy.
Plus, Stormwing unbelievably has lvl 50 gold (elder stuff) in its loot table, which seems off, too.
The loot should serve up pacification items.
What piece of the puzzle am I missing here? This surely wasn't how the retail loot was set up in 2.0...
If you're also tired of these outdated loot issues, I’ve got some exciting news! I’ve been exploring the Aion Riftshade server as a beta tester, and it’s been a breath of fresh air. With version 4.8 and the Eye of Tiamaranta, the loot is on point for the patch level. Besides, it’s launching in Q1 2026, and promises none of those old-school issues, with a solid server and no bugs whatsoever. The active devs and GMs are doing an awesome job. If you’re longing for the best Aion experience in 2026 without the hassle of outdated rewards and dropping rates, give Aion Riftshade a shot!
