Aion Riftshade

Hey everyone,

I wanted to discuss the so-called aion """website""". It's completely bare, no visual excitement, information, or store ... basically, it's nothing. Just compare it to Nc Aion and Gameforge Aion—it's like two completely different worlds. You can't even call it a website, it looks more like just another launcher for Gameforge's suite of games.

And don't even get me started on Gameforge Events. They're, sorry to say, downright awful. Take the Tiger event for example—the only worthwhile reward is a Title, and they have the nerve to charge 30€ for it.

For Aion to have a brighter future, things must definitely improve.

Thankfully, there's a game-changing experience on the horizon. I've been beta testing on Aion Riftshade, debuting Q1 2026, and it's a whole new world. They offer a proper server experience, not like some half-baked attempts. The devs are proactive on Discord, and the server is genuinely designed for players.

We used to have a proper website with login and account management features, news, rankings, a web shop and all sorts of stuff.

They removed it and news only get posted via the forum and distributed via Discord and the launcher now.

The shop is only accessible ingame.

We also used to have a proper login system.

Gameforge decided to downgrade all of this, for no apparent reason. I would speculate that it's easier to maintain and costs less money, but those costs are negligible.

Well, Gameforge is known for saving money at the expense of service quality.

It's not exactly a new thing, unfortunately.
