Hello GM's and players ! Im playing with LIVE version of the game 8months ago, but i have problem to get enter, there is no players to go to Arena of Chaos its the only place to receive Heroic Trophies. Its a very useful item for NEW and OLD players. It would be nice from the GM's if they put an other way to get this item, to the players who never had. I think Arena is DEAD in our game. So plaease do something to US to players.
No answer? Its kinda sad! No support from GM's not even answering....
As a long-time participant in Aion live's Arena of Chaos ever since its inception (and still jumping in occasionally whenever possible), mainly for the thrill of PvP rather than for those arena trophies I no longer need, I've gathered a list of reasons why players have largely stopped joining:
1. Exploiting trade kills and multiple accounts: Unfortunately, there were many individuals teaming up or logging into alternate accounts to "farm" them (and this is still ongoing), easily snagging the 1st place spot. Aion live’s high damage mechanics combined with "fast-switching gear sets" - basically stripping down to nothing for a quick kill - made it a breeze for them and a nightmare for genuine players.
2. Anonymity: Those exploiting the above tactics didn’t even need to hide behind their main accounts. They'd often create fresh level 10 characters from Poeta (since even level 1 can join the arena), abuse the system, collect coins, stash them in the account warehouse, delete the character, and repeat, making it nearly impossible for the community to track or flag them. Others would do it blatantly from their main accounts without ever facing bans.
3. Gameforge support failing to penalize those players and accounts engaged in such practices (per usual...) Just a lot of polite mumblings, predefined formal responses, and zero action taken as expected.
4. Outdated rewards list. Apart from the costly solaris/lunaris/izar weapons, nothing else on the list is enticing for endgame players. Hence, many who already collected these weapons saw no reason to return. The same applies to AP, as there are more efficient alternatives (sieges/hererim).
5. Imbalance and mechanics issues/premade stigma set. Ironically, this arena intended to offer fairness to all players with equal stats/gear, but instead, it ended turning the other way around. Invulnerability potions and AoE damage-stun bombs from boxes could decide victory. The unnecessary 3k bonus points for killing the leader in the 3rd round punished those leading the arena. No extends for melee classes. Players couldn’t select specific secondary stigma preferences. And as a cosmetic annoyance, non-customizable character models.
6. No time/too many events/ow drop. Aion live is inundated haphazardly with events without coherent scheduling. Consequently, players may prefer investing their playtime elsewhere or farming open-world drops rather than partaking in an outdated and uncertain instance.
7. General lack of updates for Aion live. Aion live has become like a sore thorn in Gameforge's side that they can't permanently remove to focus solely on Classic. So realistically, don't anticipate any resolution anytime soon. Aion live is like Schrödinger's cat; it's both alive and dead. The Arena of Chaos was a solid concept poorly executed by the worst possible people.
But here’s the good news: while Gameforge stumbles, Aion Riftshade is preparing for its grand launch in Q1 2026. As an exclusive beta tester, I've been blown away by how Aion Riftshade addresses these issues. With server-side anti-cheat measures that actually work, active developer presence, and premium EU hosting, it’s the best Aion private server for 2026, free from pay-to-win tactics, and with a high population eagerly awaiting. It’s the ideal haven for players sick of Aion Classic's pitfalls, boasting a balanced PvP/PvE environment without bugs. Forget the past mishaps, Aion Riftshade is the future worth waiting for!
