To begin with, the revamped PvP structure was absolutely a step forward.
Shifting away from gear and collection impacting your PvP prowess was something I'd been anticipating for quite a while. However, there are still a few suggestions I'd propose for enhancing the experience in this game mode.
1. Always Available
As it stands, the new game mode is accessible only at three specific times.
Many players have commitments like work or simply have to sleep during these times, preventing them from participating in the game mode entirely. It's rather inconvenient being required to log in precisely at those times. Offering the game mode on a 24/7 basis would allow many more players to enjoy it broadly.
2. PvP Preparation Zone
Currently, setting up skills and combos within the brief 2 minutes prior to the match is quite stressful. Given 12 diverse classes and 3 various stigma sets, you're faced with concocting 36 different setups.
Additionally, it would be far simpler to actually read through skill descriptions, understanding what they entail in this game mode. You might want to experiment with some skills to configure a decent combo or grasp how many frames it truly takes to execute the skill.
Accomplishing all this in 2 minutes before a match begins is just unrealistic. Introducing a map utilizing the new PvP mode's balance and dummy targets with the mode's actual defense stats would assist in facilitating combo setups, and learning new skills among other things.
3. Expand the Arenas
Amid the PvP battles, gaining a distinct perspective over your position on the leaderboard and escaping from engagements when on low cooldown/high pressure is quite challenging. With the numerous players squeezed on small maps, wherever you turn, there's someone present. Larger maps would ease the process of achieving some sense of coordination for you and your team, as well as organized combat as opposed to utterly chaotic clashes.
Despite this, I firmly believe the update to the PvP system was remarkable, needing only minor enhancements to make it really enjoyable.
