Tiamat’s Hidden Knowledge: Sunken Telos
At levels 51 to 55, gather up to five friends to explore Telos and unveil the mysterious strengths Tiamat employed to banish Apsu.
Accept the trial and secure powerful new stigmas (level 55) exclusive to this session, along with numerous other treasures, available weekly (reset on Wednesday, 9 AM).
Background
Tiamat zealously safeguards the mystery of how she defeated Apsu. So it was a major irritant for the Balaur Lord when she discovered that the mysterious realm forged by Siel’s Relic as an illusion had not vanished with the relic’s absence as expected. Tiamat promptly sent her Balaur legions to obliterate Telos. Deep in the Abyss, Moreth, Chronicle of Time, uncovered a potent artefact infused with Tiamat’s and Siel’s powers. The insights embedded in this living book offered crucial clues on Telos’s persistent existence, prompting the bravest Daevas to investigate further…
Location of Sunken Telos
Sunken Telos is accessed through an Abyss Rift in the northern Silentera Canyon, at Hora Agora. The same rift also leads to the Red Throne.
The Instance
Attempt the tasks in Telos, and you’ll find yourself temporarily in the Abyss. A windstream provides an initial overview of the enigmatic area before arriving on the western Telos shores. Venture along the beach with your allies, and the Samael Garrison will be visible in the distance. This outpost of Tiamat’s forces is secured by a defensive shield you’ll need to disarm to enter. The shield is maintained by Vasharti commanders, who you and your comrades must locate and vanquish. They are situated around the garrison, and at least three must be defeated before breaking through the defensive barrier. The Vasharti Shadowmaster and Vasharti Blade Commander remain hidden and favor ambush tactics, so tread carefully! Upon breaching the barrier, you face your first test in the garrison: Minion Samael, with her lethal chainblades, is ready for battle. Under Tiamat’s thrall, Samael serves as a stark reminder to each avenger of their own tragic demise. Once Samael is conquered, five Garrison Treasure Chests with Ancient Relics, medals, and more await! Pursue Samael’s Iron Barrier to the Southern Drana Colony. Stronger elite units from Tiamat’s legion block your path, so proceed with caution and unity! A remarkable lake with red crystals lies ahead, hiding your next boss enemy: The Drana Polluter causes chaos, tainting Telos with Drana energy. Daevas brave enough to face this unnatural beast and triumph will earn ten Settlement Treasure Chests packed with Ancient Relics, medals, and other prized items! The next step involves traversing the Northern Drana Colony with allies to reach the Anuhart Landing Site. Adjutant Anuhart awaits, displeased by the wake of destruction left in his garrison. Tiamat’s ominous experiments have bestowed her with new powers, and if that wasn't intimidating enough, another familiar face joins the fray: Samael may have broken free from Tiamat’s grasp upon defeat, but the Daeva attacks in confusion and rage! Conquering both earns six Adjutant’s Treasure Chests, containing not only Samael’s Earrings but also Dragon Deity General’s gear, the Dragon Flame, and exclusive stigmas for level 55, alongside myriad other rewards. All that remains is to touch the Iron Dragon’s Tooth to complete Sunken Telos, as the next challenge awaits…
Hints and Strategies
The elusive Vasharti commanders aren’t impossible to spot! Sorcerers, Assassins, and Rangers have unique class abilities for detecting concealed targets, alerting group members upon discovery. With a Revenant in your team, only two of the four commanders need to fall, and even some Thunderstream Legion elements vanish!
The Balaur Lord’s Sanctuary: The Red Throne
Starting at level 55, up to five other Daevas can engage, face-to-face, with the great Balaur Lord Tiamat herself. The instance is accessible once per week, resetting on Wednesdays at 9 AM. This location also offers various other precious treasures, including formidable new stigmas (level 55) exclusive to this instance! {Add a general dungeon screenshot here for overview}
History
Central to Telos is a location deeply intertwined with Balaur Lord Tiamat’s history: The Red Throne. This space stores her recollections of betrayal against Apsu and ascent to power, separated from herself and confined in a spectral form. Confront her specter and unearth her secrets!
Route to the Red Throne
Access the Red Throne via an Abyss Rift in the northern Silentera Canyon, at Hora Agora. This rift also leads to Sunken Telos.
The Experience
Upon entering the instance, you will again encounter the Iron Dragon’s Tooth from Sunken Telos. Destroy it to surf the windstream straight to the Red Throne! Here stands the Balaur Lord’s image, with all Dragon Lord’s dark memories and fury descending upon you – a mortal conflict awaits! Worthy Daevas who vanquish Tiamat’s spectral form are handsomely rewarded with coveted riches: Exclusive stigmas (level 55) from this instance are yours to claim, alongside the prestigious Young Balaur Lord’s Wings.
Hints and Insights
Prepare in the entry area for the imminent battle! Tiamat administers a particularly severe welcome to uninvited guests, and a wrathful dragon lord inspires caution unless blessings, meal buffs, etc., are attained. Use the opportunity to equip everyone in the starting zone before proceeding. The Balaur ruler’s patience with throne usurpers is not infinite. After five failed attempts to defeat her, Tiamat rises and departs her throne, but not without inflicting a keen lesson on hapless adventurers… Tiamat can strike Daevas situated behind her with her tail, so don’t be fooled into feeling secure! Beware of her strikes! She can also summon minions to join the fight. Overcome them to avoid being overpowered!
