In the newest patch, you clash with other Daevas over precious resources at the Dranium Arena. The struggle for the potent Blood Dranium is ongoing, thrusting you right into the thick of it. Check out what to anticipate in this exciting update!
How to Enter the Dranium Arena
Access to the Dranium Arena is solo only, group entry is not allowed. Click the crossed swords icon in the screen's bottom-right corner daily from 8 PM to 10 PM and choose Private Entry. You need to be at level 56–60 and will be placed randomly with 5 other Daevas, mixing both Elyos and Asmodian players.
The Intense Conflict for Blood Dranium
In spite of Laphsaran's desolate appearance, it is a land teeming with valuable hidden treasures.
The Apsu Balaur, banished by Dragon Lord Tiamat to Laphsaran, met their demise through petrification. Over time, their bitterness crystallized into 'black tears'. These stones, entrenched in the earth of Laphsaran, were eventually refined into the highly coveted Blood Dranium.
Blood Dranium can be empowered rapidly, making it a target for power-hungry Daevas.
With unmatched resilience, Blood Dranium is unmatched when forged into gear. A fierce battle ensued among Tiamat’s Balaur, Elyos, and Asmodians over its main source, as control over the Blood Dranium was imperative to each faction's dominance.
Yet, Dranium ultimately remains a Balic force. To avoid the disgrace of openly leveraging the Balaur's power, Daevas concealed their true factions in battle.
Prepare for the Battle
On the Dranium Arena, your aim is to score more than the opposing team over a max of 30 minutes. Points are earned by collecting Blood Dranium and defeating specific beasts while obstructing the opposing side from doing the same. Victorious parties are generously rewarded with Abyss points!
Upon arrival at the Dranium Arena, you'll find yourself in the Prep Zone. Get equipped for battle here. Your initial task is to secure the Mining Areas. Within each is a device which needs activation to claim it for your team. You're quite vulnerable during this, so ensure a teammate guards you from enemies.
Once secured, the Mining Area color shifts to indicate it's under your team's control, and a couple of guards will appear to safeguard it.
You might notice a Central Mining Area. Bosses often respawn here, providing an ample point reward for slaying them.
The squad that conquers Alashane secures 1,000 points, alongside a potential chance to acquire Lady Lumiel’s Necklace! This imposing chimera may appear multiple times; if the skirmish prolongs, Lunatic Alashane might appear, causing the evacuation of other special foes. Vascaron, enigmatic as always, might also surface in the arena—defeating him is crucial for a specific quest.
Besides the Mining Areas, the map features two Dranium Storage sites. Initially vacant, these zones eventually become enticing as they house Dranium with 300 points for grabs!
After some time, a team member can seize a special challenge as the Hidden Mine entrance becomes accessible in the Prep Zone. The window is brief, so hurry to exploit this! Ideally, designate your strongest member to confront an enemy within. A victory here bestows your team 2,000 points from the Hidden Mine's abundant Dranium.
The match may conclude sooner if one team advances to the rival base on the battlefield’s opposite side.
A sizable gate guards the enemy haven, requiring destruction. If breached, guards ward it, but their general stands—the primary target! Eliminate him for 2,000 points concluding the encounter. However, the opposition won't easily allow this.
Remember, wiping out the enemy general doesn't guarantee victory: if 2,000 points can't change the balance, you're might have prematurely ended combat to your team's detriment. The victors enjoy ample Abyss points post-battle!
Hints & Strategies
Windstreams scattered around the field are advantageous! Use them to move swiftly, ambush opponents, or lay traps—but be wary, foes can also utilize them!
Don't forget that you can bring about a swift conclusion to the battle by eliminating the enemy general. When facing superior teams, cutting the conflict short might be strategic. Maybe those 2,000 points from the general's fall can clinch success before rivals convert supremacy into points.
Within keybinding settings, a new feature eases targeting of enemy Daevas over beasts. This could prove particularly useful in the Dranium Arena, though PvP enthusiasts might benefit elsewhere.
