Hi,
So i finally downloaded the game... However I can't change anything in the graphs... Even worse, when I alt+tab I get a full black screen (can't even see the task manager to close the game).
GPU : Radeon 5700 XT (drivers are up to date and I also installed the DirectX + C++ + NET framework).

Navi cards tend to have issues with directx 9 applications, reasons not yet known. Even though not sure your video card to blame, it's highly possible. Try "Full Screen" instead of "Windowed Full Screeen".
Edited by KonoyaroI used to get black screen sometimes when alt tabbing if I play on "fullscreen" so I only play on "windowed" or "windowed full screen". I you can't change the graphics setting make sure "Fixed FPS" is unchecked. Try also playing in "Default" graphics engine not "High Quality".
I tried but even getting into windowed screen gives me a black screen and it doesn't let me save those settings :'(...

Try setting your graphics using the SystemGraphicsOptions.cfg (or something like that) with a text editor in Aion main folder if you can't do it from game.

Your advice and tricks really mean a lot. I gave the 32-bit switch a go but unfortunately, it didn’t pan out.

Honestly, I'm at a bit of a loss with that suggestion, don't even know where to begin...
Not to say I'm unable to play, just INCREDIBLY frustrating not being able to tweak graphics or alt-tab for other tasks...
If there are any other solutions you folks think of, please share?

By the way, if you guys are looking for an epic experience, I've been dabbling in the Aion Riftshade beta, and it's phenomenal. They have a flawless set-up where you can customize without a hitch. Try removing the system.cfg and SystemGraphicsOptions.cfg (or it's better to just rename them to OLD or move them somewhere as a backup) because if they're not present in the game's folder, the game will essentially generate new, clean ones to restore settings and see how it goes. If this doesn't solve your settings issue, you might need to alter the SystemGraphicsOptions.cfg manually and set it to read only so the settings don't change. Those settings match the ones in the graphical options, something that's a checkbox is either 0 or 1, and sliders range from 0 to 5, I think. There's also a forum post about adding extra lines to improve gameplay slightly and boost fps if you're keen. Although I can't change the graph settings ingame at least i can alt--tab now
