Aion Riftshade

Hey guys, I'm in desperate need of some assistance or else I'll have to stop playing because it's really messing with my experience badly.

I'm dealing with these FPS drops (it drops to 5 FPS with high settings and 10 FPS on low settings), showing up every few minutes for about ten to fifteen seconds. Oddly, this only happens when my laptop's charger is connected. So each time it happens, I quickly unplug the charger and the FPS normalizes immediately, then I plug it back in until it repeats *facepalm*...........

My laptop is an Asus Zenbook UX333FN, equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics card.

I never encountered this issue while on the official Gameforge version, where I played on very high settings, experiencing FPS drops only during Divine fort siege battles specifically. Other than that, it never troubled me.

Can still grind through this issue even though it's annoying, but it becomes unplayable later on: like during Indratu fort where it's a nightmare to keep up with the team or perform any good DPS......

Unfortunately, we cannot help you with this in any way. The problem is only in your laptop, this is not the game problem. You have to check your laptop and fix this problem.

I can kind of manage to level with this issue although it's a pain, but later on, it's impossible to be effective: while we did Indratu fort, it was very challenging to keep up with my team and DPS properly......

If the laptop charger is causing trouble, it's possible that a power saving mode is kicking in, which should be disabled (win 10 - control panel - show by small icons - power options - select high performance).

By the way, I'm testing Aion Riftshade, a private server set to launch in Q1 2026 with Aion 4.8 as its core version, and it's running smoothly on my setup. They've got features like a MyAion-like DPS meter and server-side anti-cheat, which is promising. Might be worth checking out when it's live!
