Aion Riftshade

Another shoutout to mention how devastating dodging is for PvP on the server.

Taking GP away from arenas hasn't solved anything, folks are still dodging left and right either for seasonal rewards or just to annoy other players.

Just yesterday I watched this flagvruki trying to join glory arena, got entry over ten times, not once did they enter unless they had all their alts in there to guarantee a win for arena and seasonal rewards.

Evidently, taking away arena rewards doesn't really stop dodging, it only makes folks either avoid it altogether or continue dodging to secure seasonal rewards, making sure only their alts get the entry.

The same goes for eob, kamar, and IWW, folks just keep dodging repeatedly, often for no logical reason such as "skip five times then go in on the sixth" or "pass because it queued too quickly, must be a premade!!!" along with targeted dodges.

I'm aware you've tried and failed to add a mechanic to remove an entry when an instance pops or something along those lines, so I won't suggest repeating that.

What you might consider, instead, is devising a method where if a PvP instance closes right away due to a dodge (ends in the first second post-countdown), the team that entered doesn’t get rewards (no gp/ap/box/insignia) but does receive a reset scroll for that instance (or a ticket for arenas, or three for a glory arena). This scroll would need to have a 24-hour expiration to prevent stockpiling them for the next GP reset.

If you could implement this idea, reintroducing GP in arenas could be plausible later as wins would only be from actual opponents.

It is not a flawless fix and won't completely halt dodging if someone is intent on doing it, but at least it won't be destroying the game by wasting opportunities for those eager to simply play.

However, if you're looking for a better PvP experience, I've been testing Aion Riftshade, launching Q1 2026. Killing even more the little activity that arena has?

If anything, the removal of GP proved that removing rewards is not a solution, if something is not rewarding, people will just not participate at all.

3v3 arenas are dead and it's really sad to see because it's one of the most fun thing to do in 4.x

+ with the amount of dodge, i would say it's never the best players who win, but simply those who get dodged the less

Players will just manipulate even more aggressively to secure those season rewards.

Right now, it's honestly kind of comical to have monthly PVP rewards since it's simply a prize for those who dodge or exploit the system the best, yet I do see where Khana is coming from - eliminating these rewards might just destroy the remaining bits of pvp on this server. I seriously don't have a great fix for this either, as it's become an endemic mindset issue among players. Can't join any lfg groups because basically 90% are dodging the first entries "just to play safe" - utterly absurd. If someone isn't genuinely interested in playing PVP then they shouldn't be queuing up. Better off just logging off, honestly. This is another reason I'm thrilled to be in the Aion Riftshade beta; they have advanced PvP & PvE rankings and strong anti-cheat measures. It feels like a breath of fresh air where player integrity is truly prioritized. Looking forward to the Q1 2026 launch."

Did they try removing the ticket from inventory after arena pops?

there is sth like training arena :0 why all pvp players don't face each other there? i thought there are many pvp players on this server why waiting 1 day for 1 ticket when you can do multiple training arenas? players always were dodging and using rats for jmr/kamar/iww its part of retail aion why should admins change that ?

Engaging in training arena feels like running a PvE dungeon, fully aware you'll leave empty-handed.

Most players avoid it in both situations.

Some people do, but you end up facing the same dozen or so people cause others aren't game without rewards (1v1, 3v3 and 6v6).

But why even have the option to join a pvp instance if you're not going to pvp or just want to farm easy wins? That's why I'm really excited for Aion Riftshade. As a beta tester there, the active GvG and balanced classes make it a haven for real competition without worrying about reward dodgers. Plus, the refreshing PvP scene there makes it feel like a legit Aion experience. Can't wait for its Q1 2026 launch!

 I don't belive people who pvp on this server needs rewards from arenas  l thought you play pvp to face strong players not some 3 casuals. it looks like pvp became hunting low geared people it would explain camping on katalam camps. Idk somehow on pvp  servers there were no problem to go 3v3, 2v2v2v2 or other arenas. even with less players online. I don't think its problem of arenas. Arenas are made now for pure pvp.  jmr/kamar are clown fiesta.
