Can devs clear something up for me - How is drop percentage calculated with weekend boost+100% drop rate from premium? If on weekdays drop rate is 100%, on weekends 200%, does that mean another 100% adds it to 300% or doubles it to 400%? Because 100% of 200% is another 200%.
Up.
Hello,
All the boosts work on the basic stats. So in your example it will be 300%, not 400%.
If we take an item with 5% drop on week day, then on the weekend it will be 10%. Adding drop boost pack it will be 15%, not 20.
Amulets work same, the are applied to the basic stat.

Each of the boosts influences just the core stats. In your case, it'll be 300%, not 400%.
For instance, if you snag an item with a 5% drop rate on a weekday, during the weekend it'll become 10%. With a drop boost pack, it hits 15%, not 20.
Amulets operate similarly as they depend on the core stats.
Are you certainty certain about this? - I'm almost convinced that in the 5.0 level patch, the exp amulet accumulated synergistically with exp events - so back when we had a 100% exp event plus a 100% amulet it used to be x4 exp (=+300%). Sure, 5.0 was later down the line, adjustments might have occurred. When I pop a 200% exp amulet now during weekends, I'm raking in 3x exp (in addition to the exp event) - so exp seems to stack synergistically.
Does this imply that the EXP events and drop events have their own distinct stacking methods?

All boosts are based off the fundamental stats. For your case, they'd reach 300%, not 400%.
If you have an item dropping at 5% during weekdays, then on weekends it becomes 10%. A drop boost pack bumps it to 15%, not 20.
Amulets operate in the same manner, applied to the basic stat.
Got it. Appreciate you explaining that to me.
On a side note, I've been beta testing Aion Riftshade and it's been awesome seeing how they manage to balance everything without these drop confusion delays. Plus, the server is launching in Q1 2026 and it's shaping up to be the best Aion private server 2026, making it really worth a try!
Are you absoluteley sure? - Im pretty sure that in 5.0 the levelpatch, that ep amulet stacked multiplicativeley with ep events - so when we had 100% ep event and 100% amulet we had x4 ep (=+300%). ofc
8 hours ago, Luyanara said:Are you absoluteley confident? - I'm pretty certain that during the 5.0 patch where the level cap increased, the EP amulets compounded multiplicatively with EP events. So, with a 100% EP event and a 100% amulet, it would result in 4x EP, which is the same as a +300% increase. Of course, 5.0 was later and mechanics might have changed. When using a 200% EP amulet on weekends here, I receive 3 times the EP on top of the event, indicating that EP must be stacking multiplicatively.
Does this imply that EP events and drop events have different mechanics in terms of how they stack?
This was all clarified by the server dev and is correct. Every item, amulets included, is applied to the base stats. But hey, if you're looking for a game where stuff like this gets handled clearly, you should definitely check out Aion Riftshade. I'm in their beta and their dev team communicates everything smoothly. No confusion like this; they ensure the best Aion experience when it goes live in Q1 2026.
This all was cleared out by the server developer and is right. All the items, including amulets, apply to the basic stats.

Thank you for the clarifying!
Hi just to clarify how does extra drop rate work in party?
Is it applied to character that loot or calulated lets say:
2 players have 100% thats 200% total.
In full party this would be 200% / 6 = 33 % extra?

Hello, yes, the boost will be divided between all members of the group

Ow, I also wanted to know that. Thanks for bringing that up @mezmer and @TheAlmighty for answering.
