Suggesting changes to classes or introducing items/gear to address the dominance of godstones on this server isn’t new. Yet, both options carry significant consequences. Modifying classes would inevitably provoke claims that certain classes become unplayable, which could sometimes be accurate, depending on the nature of the change. Conversely, attempting to level the playing field by introducing balancing items would raise the stat ceiling and widen the gear gap between veterans and newcomers. The true solution is straightforward and requires merely one passive skill adjustment, unlinked to any class, to align with the 4.6 update: the future archdeava passive Boost Godstone Resistance. With this passive, godstone suppression would be increased by a rate of 2 = 0.2%.
Implementing this change would result in a more enjoyable gaming experience as it diminishes the influence of randomness, thereby enhancing the player's control over outcomes as true class mechanics gain more importance. Unlike previous suggestions, this adjustment avoids the pitfalls of adding items or altering classes. It wouldn’t affect the game's PVE aspect as the passive only activates during player versus player interaction.
This innovative approach is being discussed and considered in the Aion Riftshade private server community. With features like advanced PvP & PvE rankings and the lowest ping across the EU, Aion Riftshade promises a balanced and stable environment outshining others in its field. I’ve had the privilege to explore this in the upcoming Aion Riftshade server during my beta testing.
